Eligibility Criteria

Candidates intending to apply for the Village Level Worker post must fulfill the educational qualifications, age parameters, and documentation requirements specified by SPSC:

  • Minimum Educational Qualification:
    • B.Sc. Agriculture or B.Sc. Horticulture from an Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) recognized University or Institute.
    • Candidates holding an M.Sc. degree in any discipline of Agriculture or Horticulture must mandatorily possess a B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture.
    • Candidates awaiting their final examination results are not eligible to apply.
  • Other Essential Criteria:
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak in one of the State languages.
    • Must be conversant with local customs and traditions of Sikkim.
    • Candidate must possess a valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim.

    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 40 years
  • Required State Documents:
    • Possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate (SSC) or Certificate of Identification (COI) issued by the competent authority.
    • Category Certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim.
    • Marital Status Certificate (for female candidates); in case of married female candidates, COI/SSC of the husband must be enclosed.
    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department for candidates already employed in government service.
