Governor’s Secretariat, Nagaland, Kohima has released an official recruitment advertisement (Notification No. G-06/4/AP/00 (Vol-I)) inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up vacant posts of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), Bearer, and Masalchi under Lok Bhavan Establishment, Kohima. Candidates who have passed Class 8 or HSLC (with relevant diploma/experience) can apply either by hand, by post, or via email on or before 27 August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for the respective posts must meet the educational qualifications and experience specified below:

• Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):
  • Minimum educational qualification: Class-8 pass.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can ride a two-wheeler and possess a valid Driving License.
• Bearer:
  • Minimum educational qualification: HSLC passed with a Diploma Certificate in Restaurant and Counter Service from a recognized institute.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with relevant working experience.
• Masalchi:
  • Minimum educational qualification: HSLC passed.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of working experience in a restaurant or hotel.
• Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026):
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 32 years
  • Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST).
  • Serving Government employees will be allowed an age concession equal to the number of years served in service, up to a maximum of 5 years.

General Terms and Conditions

• The appointment will initially be on probation for a minimum period of two years. Service confirmation will follow subject to satisfactory performance.
• Candidates may apply for more than one post using a single application form.
• In-service candidates serving in Government departments or Public Sector Undertakings must attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department/Office.
• Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate must be issued and signed only by the competent authority.
• HSLC Admit Card serves as proof of date of birth for HSLC candidates; under-matric candidates must furnish a birth certificate.
• Original documents must be produced at the time of interview/verification.
