Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: A Matriculation (Class 10th pass) or ITI Certification in a relevant trade from a recognized institution is required of all applicants.

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 33 years of age as of 1 January 2025. Age relaxations for the reserved categories apply explicitly as follows:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years Relaxation
  • OBC Candidates: 3 Years Relaxation

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

A Computer-Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST), Document Verification, and a Mandatory Medical Examination are all part of the multi-tiered selection framework before the final results are announced.

CBT Exam Pattern:

  • The test features 100 objective questions for a total weight of 100 marks.
  • The comprehensive time duration allowed to finish the paper is 90 minutes.
  • Negative marking applies at a rate of 1/3 marks for each incorrect choice.
  • The online test is administered in English, Hindi, and 13 distinct regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Odia.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Benchmarks

Candidates who have been shortlisted must pass the physical evaluation round, which only gives them one chance to try:

Male Candidates: Must lift and carry a weight of 35 kg for a continuous distance of 100 metres within a time period of 2 minutes, and complete a 1,000-metre run within 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

Female Candidates: Must lift and carry a weight of 20 kg for a continuous distance of 100 metres within a time frame of 2 minutes, and complete a 1,000-metre run within 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
