Union Bank of India has issued a comprehensive recruitment notification inviting online applications from dynamic and qualified Indian citizens for regular positions in General Banking and Specialized Segments.

As per the latest extension notice released on 10 August 2026, the deadline for submitting online applications and fee payments has been extended up to 15 August 2026. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Candidates must fulfill mandatory educational qualifications, age limits (as on 01.07.2026), and post-qualification experience (as on 10.08.2026) as specified for each post code:

1. General Banking Officers (GBO):

  • Scale-II (G16): Graduate Degree in any discipline. Min 2 years post-qualification Banking experience (min 1 year as Branch Head or Credit Officer). Age: 22 to 30 Years.
  • Scale-III (G15): Graduate Degree in any discipline. Min 5 years post-qualification Banking experience (min 3 years as Branch Head or Credit Officer). Age: 25 to 35 Years.

2. Forex Officers:

  • Scale-II (S02): Graduate in any discipline + Full-time regular MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM / PGDM (Finance / International Business / Trade Finance). Min 3 years relevant Banking experience. Age: 22 to 30 Years.
  • Scale-III (S01): Graduate + Full-time regular MBA/PGDM in Finance/Trade Finance. Min 5 years relevant Banking experience. Age: 25 to 35 Years.

3. Chartered Accountants (CA):

  • CA Credit (Scale III & IV): CA / CMA / CFA with minimum 5 years (for Scale III) or 8 years (for Scale IV) experience in Corporate Credit Appraisal/Processing in Banks/FIs.
  • CA Taxation / Ind-AS / Capital Planning: CA qualified from ICAI with relevant managerial experience in Corporate Tax, GST, or Ind-AS implementation in Banks.

4. Law Officers:

  • Scale II, III, IV & V: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) with minimum 50% marks. Relevant post-qualification experience as Advocate or Law Officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks / PSUs / Govt Departments (3 yrs for Scale II, 7 yrs for Scale III, 11 yrs for Scale IV, 15 yrs for Scale V).

5. IT & Cybersecurity Professionals:

  • Full-time B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in CS / IT / ECE / EEE or MCA / M.Sc. (IT/CS) with mandatory relevant experience in API Management, Cloud, SOC, DevSecOps, AI/ML, or Data Analytics along with domain certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, AWS/Azure, TOGAF as applicable).

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age eligibility is calculated as on 1st July 2026. Category-wise upper age relaxations apply as per Government rules:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 5 Years relaxation
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years relaxation
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 Years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen / Commissioned Officers: 5 Years relaxation

Service Indemnity Bond

Selected candidates must execute a Service Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum period of 3 years:

  • Posts G01 to G19 (General Banking / Domain Posts): ₹2,00,000/- plus applicable taxes.
  • Posts S01 to S108 (Specialist Officers): ₹2,50,000/- plus applicable taxes.

Probation Period: 2 years of active service from the date of joining.
