Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), under the Government of Meghalaya, has released official recruitment advertisements (Advt Nos: MSRLS/SMMU/HR/REC/B-ADVT/2157/25-26/4679 & MSRLS/SMMU/HR/REC/D-ADVT/2158/25-26/4675) to fill 28 contractual positions across District Mission Management Units (DMMUs) and Block Mission Management Units (BMMUs). MSRLS Recruitment 2026 Notification

The Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), the nodal agency of the Government of Meghalaya for implementing the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), has issued notification drives for recruiting committed professionals to serve in rural communities across the state.

The online application link opened on 7 August 2026 at 10:00 AM and will remain active until 21 August 2026 up to 05:00 PM on the official MSRLS portal (msrls.nic.in). These contractual positions require extensive travel and night stays in remote rural villages across Meghalaya (about 15 days a month).

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognized University or Institution along with the specific requirements listed below:

1. Project Executive – Non Farm Livelihoods Promotion (PE-NFLP):

  • PG Degree/Diploma in Commerce / Business Management / Agri Business / Rural Marketing / Development Practice / Community Development.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in Livelihoods related projects or Enterprise Promotion (Non-Farm activities).

2. Block Functional Specialist – Financial Inclusion (BFS-FI):

  • PG Degree/Diploma in Science / Business Management-Finance / Commerce.
  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation Programmes OR 1–2 years experience in a Bank, NBFC, or MFI.

3. District Functional Specialist – IBCB:

  • PG Degree / PG Diploma / Degree in Rural Development / Social Work / Agriculture / Science.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation Programmes (working with SHGs, Community Organizations, or Cooperatives).

4. District Functional Specialist – IT:

  • PG Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in MIS Management, Data Analysis, ERP/BI tools, software development, troubleshooting, and website maintenance.

5. District MIS Coordinator – Livelihoods Promotion:

  • PG / Graduate degree in Technology, Computer Science, IT, or Computer Applications.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Data Entry, MIS Management, Data Analysis, and Reporting.

6. Young Professional – FNHW:

  • PG Degree in Education, Public Health, Home Science, Nutrition & Dietetics, Social Work, Nursing (with min 1 yr experience); OR Graduation in the same disciplines with min 2 yrs experience in Early Childhood / Health / Rural Development.

7. District Account Assistant:

  • Degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized University.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Accounts and Financial Management with working knowledge of Tally Prime.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The standard upper age limit for all posts is within 30 years of age as on the date of application.

Age Relaxations:

  • SC / ST Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years (Up to 35 years).
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years (15 years for SC/ST PwD candidates).

Selection Process

Selection will be made through a multi-modal screening process as follows:

  1. Shortlisting of Online Applications: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.
  2. Preliminary Examination: Testing verbal, quantitative, and analytical abilities (conducted physically at Shillong).
  3. Group Discussion / Skill Test / Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will proceed to subsequent evaluation stages.
Note: Candidates who can speak, read, and write in local languages will be given preference. Local candidates will also be given preference during selection.
