The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB), Itanagar has announced 207 Group ‘C’ vacancies in various state government departments and district offices through the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026.

The online registration portal opens on 20 July 2026 and will close on 10 August 2026 at 05:00 PM on the official APSSB web portal (apssb.nic.in). The tentative date for the written examination is scheduled for 20 September 2026 (Sunday), followed by the Skill Test starting from 10 October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualifications and requirements stipulated for each post code as on the closing date (10.08.2026):

1. Agriculture Field Assistant (Jr) [Post Code 16/26]:

  • Class XII (Science) passed from a recognized Board/Institution.

2. Data Entry Operator (DEO) [Post Code 17/26]:

  • Class XII passed from a recognized Board/Institution.
  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute on computer (10,500 KDPH).
  • Minimum 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Application from an AICTE/APCTE recognized institute.

3. Field Assistant [Post Code 18/26]:

  • Class XII passed with Mathematics or Geography; OR Class XII passed in any subject with a Survey course from a Govt. recognized ITI.

4. Fishery Demonstrator [Post Code 19/26]:

  • Class XII (Science) passed with Biology from a recognized Board/Institution.

5. Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) & Lower Division Clerk (LDC) [Post Codes 20/26 & 22/26]:

  • Class XII passed from a recognized Board/Institution.
  • English typing speed of 35 words per minute on computer (10,500 KDPH).
  • Minimum 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Application from an AICTE/APCTE recognized institute.

6. Record Keeper / Record Clerk [Post Code 23/26]:

  • Class XII passed from a recognized Board/Institution.
  • Minimum 1 (one) year Diploma in Computer Application.

7. Stockman [Post Code 24/26]:

  • Class XII (Science) passed from a recognized Board/Institution.
Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India. All qualifications and age limits will be determined as on the closing date of application submission (10 August 2026).

Age Limit & Relaxations

The candidate must meet the age limit criteria as on 10 August 2026:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 35 Years (Revised upper age limit as per Govt. order)
  • Ex-Servicemen (for Sainik Welfare LDC): 18 to 40 Years

Upper Age Relaxations:

  • Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST): Up to 5 Years upper age relaxation (Up to 40 years).
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Up to 10 Years upper age relaxation (Up to 15 years for APST PwBD candidates).

Pay Scale & Remuneration

Selected candidates will be appointed across the following pay levels with applicable state government allowances:

  • Level-1: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900/- per month (Field Assistant)
  • Level-2: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/- per month (Fishery Demonstrator, Laboratory Assistant)
  • Level-4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- per month (LDC, Stockman, DEO, JSA, Agriculture Field Assistant, Record Keeper)

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection process comprises two successive stages:

Stage 1: Written Examination (For All Posts – 200 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours):

  • Minimum Qualifying Score: Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% aggregate marks in the written examination to qualify.

Stage 2: Skill Test (For DEO, JSA & LDC Posts Only):

  • Typing Test on Computer: 35 words per minute in English (10,500 KDPH).
  • Stage 2 is purely qualifying in nature. Final merit list is prepared strictly based on written exam performance.
