BPCL Non-Management Recruitment 2026

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has invited online applications from bright, young, and dynamic Indian citizens for entry-level Non-Management positions in the pay scale of ₹26,500 – ₹34,000/- (NG-2 Grade).

The online application portal opened on 29 July 2026 and will close on 13 August 2026 at 11:59 PM. Selection will be made through a Computer Based Test (CBT) tentatively scheduled for September 2026, followed by a Skill/Proficiency Test (SPT) and Pre-Employment Medical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (as on 01.07.2026):

  • Post Code A & B (Process Technician / Operator Chemical): Full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology approved by AICTE.
  • Post Code C (Technician / Operator Mechanical): Full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering approved by AICTE.
  • Post Code D (Technician Electrical): Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engg. / Electrical and Electronics Engg. / Electrical Power System / Electrical Engg. (Industrial Control) approved by AICTE.

2. Minimum Marks in Diploma:

  • General, EWS & OBC (NCL) Candidates: Minimum 60% aggregate marks.
  • SC, ST & PwBD Candidates: Minimum 50% aggregate marks against reserved posts.

3. Post-Qualification Work Experience (as on 01.07.2026):

Candidates must possess a minimum of one year relevant post-qualification work experience or one year post-qualification apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a Refining / Lube / Petroleum / Power / Petrochemical / Fertilizer Industry of repute (for Mechanical and Electrical disciplines, Engineering Industry of repute shall also be considered).

Important Qualification Note: Higher qualifications such as B.E., B.Tech., A.M.I.E. or similar professional degrees are NOT eligible to apply, even if acquired after obtaining the prescribed Diploma. Diplomas obtained via Distance, Part-time, or Correspondence modes are also not eligible.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The age limit is calculated as on 1st July 2026:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age (General / EWS): 25 Years (Born between 01.07.2001 and 01.07.2008)
  • OBC (NCL) Relaxation: 3 Years (Up to 28 Years)
  • SC / ST Relaxation: 5 Years (Up to 30 Years)
  • PwBD Relaxation: 10 Years (Up to 13 Years for OBC-NCL and 15 Years for SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules (deduction of military service period from actual age).

Pay Scale & Emoluments

Selected candidates will be placed in the entry level of NG-2 Grade with a starting basic pay of ₹26,500/- per month in the pay scale of ₹26,500 – ₹34,000/-.

In addition to Basic Pay, candidates receive Industrial Pattern Dearness Allowance (IDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), cafeteria allowances, medical benefits, and other perquisites as per company rules.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection methodology comprises three successive stages:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Total Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)
  • Total Questions & Marks: 100 Objective MCQs (100 Marks)
  • Domain Knowledge: 60 Marks
  • General Aptitude: 40 Marks (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness & Current Affairs)
  • Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Medium of Exam: English only.

Stage 2: Skill / Proficiency Test (SPT)

Candidates qualifying in CBT as per cutoff marks will be called for SPT at respective refinery locations. SPT is purely of qualifying nature.

Stage 3: Pre-Employment Medical Examination

Final appointment will be subject to clearing the physical medical fitness standards laid down by BPCL.
