Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC), Aizawl has released an official recruitment advertisement (Advertisement No. 24 of 2026 – 2027, Memo No. A.12026/26/2026-MPSC(PRE)) for the Direct Recruitment Examination to the posts of Junior Accounts Officer (JAO) under the Transport Department and Warden under the Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Department. MPSC Recruitment 2026 Details & Vacancies
The recruitment is conducted to fill regular Group ‘B’ vacancies across two government departments in Mizoram. Details of the posts, pay scale, and job descriptions are outlined below.

Job Descriptions
- Junior Accounts Officer (JAO): Responsible for maintaining departmental accounts and financial records including preparation and verification of bills, vouchers, and financial statements. The JAO also monitors revenue collection, assists in budget preparation, ensures proper control of expenditure, ensures compliance with financial rules, and supports audit and reporting requirements of the department.
- Warden: Manages residential institutions, ensures safety and discipline of inmates/trainees, supervises hostel facilities of various training centres, and maintains institutional records.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the educational, computer proficiency, age, and language criteria specified by MPSC:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Junior Accounts Officer (JAO): Graduate from any recognized University, preferably a Commerce Graduate.
- Warden: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
- Mizo Language Proficiency: Must achieve the pass mark in the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency. Candidates who studied Mizo subject in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.
- Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Note: HSLC/HSSLC Certificates, Voter ID, or Digitised Birth Certificate are accepted as valid proof of age (UIDAI cards are not accepted as valid proof of date of birth).
Application Fee & Payment Details
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are exempted from payment of application fees.
- If payment is made through UPI, it must be completed using the same mobile number registered during One-Time Registration (OTR).
- Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
