Indian Army Result 2026
The Indian Army has announced the result of the Agniveer Common Entrance Exam 2026 on 12 July 2026. Candidates who took the online exam from 1 June to 15 June 2026 can now check their qualifying status on the official website of the Indian Army.
The result is published as separate merit list PDFs for every Army Recruiting Office and every Agniveer category. This means you must open the file for the recruiting office under which you applied, and not any other ARO file. Candidates can also log in to their Join Indian Army profile using the registration number and password used during application to check their individual status.
Only the roll numbers of candidates who cross the cut-off are listed in the merit list. The cut-off is not a fixed pass mark. It is set based on the vacancies available in each ARO and each category, which is why the qualifying score varies from one recruiting office to another.

Recruiting Offices for Assam Candidates
Candidates from Assam appeared under three distinct recruiting offices, and each of these offices publishes its own independent merit list. Make sure to check the office that covers your home district before opening a PDF file:
- ARO Narangi: Covers Kamrup, Kamrup Metropolitan, Barpeta, Bajali, Nalbari, Baksa, Tamulpur, Darrang, Udalguri, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara Mancachar, and Goalpara.
- RO (HQ) Shillong: Covers Nagaon, Morigaon, Sonitpur, and Bishwanath.
- ARO Jorhat: Covers Jorhat, Majuli, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, and Lakhimpur.
How the Merit List is Prepared
The raw score you calculated after the exam is not the score printed against your roll number. Because the CEE was administered over a number of sessions and shifts, the scores have been normalized to take into account the varying levels of difficulty experienced during each session. Therefore, a candidate who attempted a slightly harder shift is not disadvantageous.
Every incorrect response resulted in a negative marking of 25% of the total score, and there was no penalty for questions that were not attempted. In addition to the CEE score, bonus points are awarded for NCC certificates, sports accomplishments, and SOS/SOEX claims. As a result, two candidates with the same exam performance can appear in different positions on the list.
How to Check Indian Army Agniveer Result 2026?
Keep your registration number, roll number, and password ready, then follow the steps given below:
- Open the official result link provided in the Important Links section below.
- Select the specific Army Recruiting Office (ARO) under which you appeared for the Common Entrance Examination.
- Open the merit list PDF corresponding to the Agniveer category you applied for.
- Press Ctrl + F on a computer, or use the search option on a mobile PDF reader, and search for your roll number.

- Download the PDF and keep a physical printout, as you will need it during the Phase II recruitment rally.
If your roll number is printed but any personal detail such as your name or category is wrong, report it to your Army Recruiting Office at once. Corrections are handled by the ARO and not at the rally venue.
Phase II Recruitment Rally
For the recruitment rally that will be held by their ARO, shortlisted candidates will receive a second admit card that can be found on the Indian Army’s official website. The rally covers the medical exam, the physical fitness test, the physical measurement test, and document verification. The Physical Fitness Test carries marks that count towards the final merit, so it is not a mere qualifying stage.
