Directorate of School Education Mizoram LDC Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 15 Lower Division Clerk Posts

Government of Mizoram, Directorate of School Education (DSE), Aizawl has released an official recruitment notification (Advertisement No. 1 of 2026 / SED Dt. 4th Aug., 2026, Memo No. A.11016/2/2026-DSE(Estt)) for the recruitment of 15 Lower Division Clerk – LDC (PE) vacancies. Eligible candidates who have passed HSSLC (Class 12) along with the prescribed computer qualification and typing speed can apply in the offline format on or before 15 September 2026.

The recruitment is conducted to fill the following posts under the School Education Department, Government of Mizoram:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates intending to apply for the LDC (PE) post must satisfy the educational qualifications, computer certification, typing standards, and age conditions specified below:

• Educational Qualification: Passed Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC / 10+2) from a recognized Board or Institution.
• Computer Qualification: Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) Semester-I / Certificate Course on Computer Application (CCA) or above from institutions recognized by AICTE, or any institution recognized by the Central Government, State Governments, or UT Administration under the Union of India.
• Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) on computer.
• Language Proficiency: Working knowledge of Mizo language at least up to Middle School standard. (Candidates who have studied Mizo subject in Class-X or who hold a proficiency certificate from MPSC/other departments are exempted from the language test).
• Age Limit (as on 15 September 2026):
  • Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
  • Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years is admissible for SC/ST candidates.
  • Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable under Rule 5 of the Mizoram Ex-servicemen (Re-employment in Civil Post) Rules, 2019.

Note: Reserved category candidates must submit their valid SC/ST/OBC certificate at the time of submission; otherwise, the General Category fee of ₹200/- will be charged.

The competitive examination for direct recruitment to the Lower Division Clerk Grade consists of a two-paper written examination for a total of 400 marks, followed by evaluation as per service regulations:

Candidates can submit their applications offline by adhering to the following instructions:

1. Obtain the prescribed physical application form from the Directorate of School Education Office, Treasury Square, Aizawl, or download it from the official website (schooleducation.mizoram.gov.in).
2. Fill out all required columns in capital letters clearly and accurately.
3. Affix one recent passport-size photograph on the form, and attach two additional passport-size photographs with the applicant’s name written on the reverse side.
4. Enclose self-attested photocopies of the following documents:
