DST Mizoram LDC Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 02 Lower Division Clerk Posts

Government of Mizoram, Directorate of Science & Technology (Planning & Programme Implementation Department), Aizawl has released an official recruitment notification (Advertisement No. 1 of 2026-2027, Memo No. A.12013/4/2026-DST/6-7) for filling up 02 regular posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC). Eligible candidates who have passed HSSLC (Class 12) with basic computer knowledge and typing proficiency can submit their applications in the prescribed format on or before 15 September 2026.

The Directorate of Science & Technology, Mizoram is conducting direct recruitment on a regular basis for the following post:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Lower Division Clerk post must satisfy the following minimum qualifications and standards:

• Educational Qualification: HSSLC (10+2) passed from a recognized Board or Institution.
• Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) on a computer.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: Must achieve the minimum qualifying score in the Mizo Language Proficiency qualifying test. Candidates who studied Mizo subject in Class-X standard (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or who opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.
• Age Limit:
  • Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
  • Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
  • Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen and Meritorious Sportspersons is applicable as per Government of Mizoram notifications.

Selection Process & Syllabus

The recruitment procedure for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) will be conducted in the following sequential stages:

1. Typing Test: Qualifying in nature conducted in a computer laboratory. Candidates must achieve a minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. to be declared “FIT” for the written examination.
2. Written Examination: Total 400 Marks across two objective papers.
3. Skill Test: Practical computer test of qualifying nature (90 Marks; minimum 36 marks required to pass).
4. Personal Interview: Conducted for candidates qualifying the previous rounds.

Note: Candidates must obtain a minimum of 36 marks in aggregate across the three computer applications to qualify for the personal interview.

How to Apply for DST Mizoram LDC Recruitment 2026?

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications offline through the following steps:

1. Download the official application form from the Department website (dst.mizoram.gov.in) or collect it directly from the Directorate of Science & Technology Office.
2. Fill in all details in Capital Letters (Name, Parent’s Name, Permanent/Correspondence Address, Contact details, Category, Educational and Computer Qualifications).
3. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the designated space of the application form.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of the following essential documents:
   • Age Proof Document (Birth Certificate, HSLC Admit Card, or Voter ID)
   • HSSLC (10+2) Certificate and Marksheet from a recognized Board/Institution
   • Computer Proficiency Certificate
   • Proof of Mizo Language Proficiency (Class X Mizo subject marksheet/certificate or equivalent)
   • Community / Caste Certificate (ST/SC/OBC), if applicable
   • Disability Certificate (PwD), if applicable
   • No Objection Certificate (NOC) / Certificate by Head of Department for serving Government employees
5. Submit the duly filled application form along with all enclosures and the prescribed application fee at the Directorate of Science & Technology Office, MINECO, Khatla, Aizawl, Mizoram on or before 15 September 2026 during office hours.
