The Examination Section, Department of Education, Government of Sikkim has released the official notification and information bulletin for the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. The examination is conducted to determine the eligibility of In-Service Regular Teachers for appointment/continuation as Primary Teachers (Classes I to V) and Graduate/Elementary Teachers (Classes VI to VIII). Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 Notification

The Department of Education, Government of Sikkim, has published the detailed Information Bulletin and revised syllabus for the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. The Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 comprises two main papers based on teaching levels:

1. Paper I (Primary Teacher):

• For teachers intending to teach Classes I to V.
• Covers Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.

2. Paper II (Graduate / Elementary Teacher):

• For teachers intending to teach Classes VI to VIII.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifying Marks

Target Group: STET 2026 is designed for In-Service Regular Teachers serving under the Department of Education, Government of Sikkim.

Qualifying Marks & Certificate Validity:

• General Category: Minimum 60% aggregate marks required to qualify.
• Reserved Categories (SC / ST / OBC / Differently Abled): Minimum 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation allowed).
• Successful candidates will be awarded the STET Eligibility Certificate by the Department of Education, Government of Sikkim.

Application Fee

The application fee of ₹500/- must be remitted strictly online through the payment gateway integrated into the application portal. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
