ONGC Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 24 Doctor Posts

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) has issued an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 3/2026 (R&P)) for the engagement of Doctors on a Fixed Term basis till 30 June 2028. Eligible medical professionals can submit their online registration between 5 August 2026 and 18 August 2026.

ONGC Doctor Recruitment 2026

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise, invites interested and eligible doctors to apply for various Medical Officer posts across different ONGC work locations on a fixed-term basis. The engagement will remain active from the joining date up to 30 June 2028.

The online registration web link on the official ONGC website remains active from 5 August 2026 to 18 August 2026. Selection will be based on physical document verification followed by an interview at specified work locations.

ONGC Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Structure

A total of 24 vacancies are distributed across four main categories as detailed below:

1. Medical Officer – Occupational Health (MO-OH) (14 Posts)

• Qualification: MBBS degree from an MCI/NMC recognized institution. Candidates with training in occupational health, public health, or occupational medicine will be preferred.
• Annual CTC: ₹12,000,000 (1st Year) / ₹12,18,000 (2nd Year)
• Location Breakdown: Dehradun (1), Ahmedabad (1), Ankleshwar (1), Baroda (1), Dahej (1), Cambay (1), Mehsana (1), Uran (1), Kakinada (1), Rajahmundry (1), Karaikal (1), Agartala (1), Jorhat (1), Sivasagar (1).

2. Specialist for Dehradun Hospital (3 Posts)

• Qualification: MD / MS in respective stream (Physician – 1, Paediatrics – 1, Surgery – 1).
• Annual CTC: ₹15,60,000 (1st Year) / ₹15,85,200 (2nd Year)

3. Specialist for Sivasagar Hospital (5 Posts)

• Qualification: MD / MS / DNB or PG Diploma in respective stream (Anaesthesia – 1, Obstetrics & Gynecology – 1, Physician – 2, Surgery – 1).
• Annual CTC: MD/MS/DNB: ₹15,60,000 (1st Year) / ₹15,85,200 (2nd Year); PG Diploma: ₹13,20,000 (1st Year) / ₹13,41,600 (2nd Year).

4. Medical Officer – Homeopathy (2 Posts)

• Qualification: Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS).
• Annual CTC: ₹7,80,000 (1st Year) / ₹7,89,600 (2nd Year)
• Locations: Dehradun (1), Sivasagar (1).

Eligibility Criteria & General Conditions

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying for these fixed-term doctor posts.

Registration: Candidates must possess essential qualifications along with a valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI), National Medical Commission (NMC), National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), or State Medical Council on the date of the interview.

Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of candidate qualification weightage and interview performance:

Qualifying Marks in Interview: Minimum 18 marks for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and 12 marks for SC/ST category candidates.
