The Arunachal Pradesh State Mental Health Authority is constituting its body of Non-Official Members under the statutory mandate of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 to advise, regulate, and monitor mental health services and systems across the state.

2 Psychiatric Social Worker 01 Post Graduate degree in Social Work or Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Psychiatric Social Work with 15 years experience in the mental health field.
3 Clinical Psychologist 01 Recognized qualification in Clinical Psychology from an institution approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) OR Post-Graduate degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology and an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology / Medical & Social Psychology with 15 years experience in the mental health field.
4 Mental Health Nurse 01 Diploma or Degree in General Nursing / Psychiatric Nursing with 15 years experience in the mental health field.
5 Persons who have or have had mental illness 02 Persons who have or have had mental illness.
6 Persons representing care givers / Caregiver Organizations 02 Persons representing care givers of persons with mental illness or organizations representing care givers.
7 Persons representing NGOs 02 Persons representing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) providing services to persons with mental illness.

Terms and Conditions of Empanelment

  • Governing Rules: Validity of empanelment will be strictly governed by the notified State Mental Health Authority Rules and procedures under the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.
  • Selection Process: Selection of members will be carried out by a designated board appointed by the competent authority.
  • Remuneration / Honorarium: Honorarium/sitting fees or remuneration shall be admissible as defined in the SMHA Rules, subject to availability of funds and competent authority approval.
  • Guidelines & Compliance: All empanelled members must adhere to directions issued by the authority. Any member may be debarred if performance during the execution of SMHA activities is found unsatisfactory.
  • Authority Rights: The Commissioner (Health & FW), Government of Arunachal Pradesh / Chairman, APSMHA reserves the right to accept or reject any application at any stage without assigning reasons.
